What it does

Why we built it

seventh sense's orchestration layer is great, but transparency makes it better. standard content calendars are static; they don't account for list overlap or automated campaigns. we built this to show you "the unseen"; mapping out exactly where your emails are competing for attention so you can reclaim your brand (and domain) reputation.

spotlight: slew of UI enhancements for analytics beta

What it does

provides better coverage of production features into the new analytics system.

Why we built it

based on customer feedback, users can now choose the analytics color palette, edit job names and much more.

spotlight: blackout periods

What it does

during blackout periods, your AI scheduler will discard these times as available to select from. this new capability is a global setting, however you can override it per email deployment or automation campaign.

Why we built it

customers utilize blackout periods primarily to manage their operational capacity, respect their audience's inbox preferences, and coordinate complex campaign schedules.

in legacy tools, if an action is paused during a weekend blackout, all of the held emails are blasted out simultaneously the exact minute the blackout window lifts (such as monday at 12:01 a.m. or 9:00 a.m.). this creates a massive burst of emails that degrade performance while increasing unsubscribes / spam complaints, can hurt your domain reputation and cause deliverability issues.

we've solved this by treating the blackout window as unpickable time; the scheduler simply skips the restricted period and identifies the next most optimal time for each individual outside of the blackout window. if a critical, time-sensitive email must go out, users also have the flexibility to override these blackout rules using a simple checkbox.

What it does

AI-driven process of rotating contacts with low engagement probabilities in and out of your email program which is critical for balancing domain health with revenue opportunities.

instead of permanently suppressing unengaged people, recycling allows you to "poke" them occasionally to see if they're willing to give you their attention at that time.

Why we built it

a common roadblock to healthy email practices is leadership's fear of "cutting the list in half" to improve metrics. with recycling / target open rate insights you can provide granular details to leadership on who and why people are rotating in and out of your email program.

What it does

Why we built it

every inbox provider has unique rules for how they view and treat your emails. while marketers traditionally used seed lists to test performance, this method is now flawed, as providers treat seed addresses differently than genuine recipients.

to solve this, we've launched delivery insights for marketo which provides a deep, accurate analysis of your email performance broken down by each major inbox provider.

spotlight: granular recycling HubSpot only

What it does

allows you to select granular recycling thresholds. pick between <1, 2, 3, 4 → 10%.

Why we built it

probability of engaging thresholds that increment in 5% could suppress too many people - this update provides more flexibility.

note: marketo users have always had granular thresholds.

spotlight: email latency metrics

What it does

tracks how long emails sit unopened (open latency) and the % of people that open in the first hour (first hour engagement).

Why we built it

traditional metrics (open / click rates) miss timing. latency metrics reveal when engagement happens - critical for optimizing send windows, reducing inbox burying, and improving deliverability.

spotlight: emails delivered to activated vs. non-activated people

What it does

displays the number of emails you have delivered to activated people since the last time they engaged in an email (by open / click) and the number of emails you have delivered to unactivated people (people that have never opened / clicked on a marketing email).

Why we built it

helps you move from basic email marketing to strategic list management.

activated people used to engage and now they've stopped - but at what point? unactivated people signed up and never showed a single sign of life - but at what point?
